St Johnstone WFC are on the road again this weekend when we travel to take on Livingston at the Home of the Set Fare Arena.
It is a 4pm kick-off in West Lothian and you can purchase your tickets for the match HERE.
Ahead of the SWPL 2 contest, Head Coach Josh Henderson reflected on last week’s win for Saints in the Sky Sports Cup against Stirling University.
He said: “I thought for the first twenty-five minutes we were excellent and showed our attacking intent and scored three good goals. We then conceded a silly goal before half time which was a little frustrating.
“Second half we had to defend a little more than we would have wanted to, but we got through that to score two more. It’s something we’ve talked about. showing a bit more resilience throughout the game at times when we’re up against it, defend better and then get back on the attacking front.”
Looking ahead to Livingston this weekend, Josh added: “We hope to get a bit of form running now, we don’t really want our results to be defeat, victory going back and forward, we want to try and build something.
“Livingston is a difficult place to go, and it will be a hard game, but we’ve got to try show and attacking intent from today and take that into next week’s game.”
Meanwhile, everyone at the club would also like to extend our congratulations to Jodie Malcolm who was named in the SWPL Team of the Week following her two goals against Stirling in the cup.
This is the second time this season that Jodie has been named in the Team of the Week. Congrats, Jodie!
