Experienced midfielder Stevie Mallan provided his reaction to our 0-0 draw against Raith Rovers at McDiarmid Park.
The Saints created plenty of chances throughout the league game in Perth but just missed that final piece of the puzzle to find the back of the net.
Mallan is confident the goals will soon flow.
He said: “You need to give a bit of credit to Raith because they defended really well.
“After the past few results where we’ve conceded a few goals, we got our clean sheet first and foremost. The goals will come.
“Any other day, one of those chances goes in the back of the net. Whether from a set-piece or Jamie’s chance at the end that hit the post.
“We put in a dominant performance. The only thing we needed was that goal. But I think we can be very positive about the way we played.”
It was Mallan’s first league start since returning from injury and he is feeling stronger with every passing week.
He added: “That was my first league start in a while. I’d come off the bench a couple of times but I’m now feeling stronger.
“I’ve got my foot in the door now but there are a range of players waiting to get on. The only way I stay on the pitch is if my performances are good.”
