We are delighted to announce that Taylor Steven has signed a new two-year contract extension.
The Scotland Under-21 international is now with us at McDiarmid Park until the summer of 2028.
With pre-season training just around the corner, excitement for our return to the Scottish Premiership is building.
Taylor said: “I’m so excited to get back with all the boys for pre-season and give it a really good go. We’re all ready to work hard.
“We have a brilliant dressing room, a proper good group with a close bond. Everyone gets on well and that played a massive part last season in winning the title.
“It was a big team effort behind the scenes, which really helped us when we did get out on that pitch.”
Taylor spent a spell of last season on a successful loan at Arbroath before being recalled in January and playing his part in our title-winning success.
He added: “The week we won the league was a very special time in everyone’s life. We had a good bash at the celebrations.
“Every person in the dressing room and the backroom staff played their part. It was an unbelievable season and personally, including the loan, a great experience – especially picking up my first senior medal.
“I felt a nice connection with the fans at the end of the season. I enjoyed my time on the megaphone too!
“The fans follow us throughout the season and pay their hard-earned money to watch us. Giving them something back is so important.”
Taylor continued: “I’ve been on a few loans now and I feel I’ve done well at them all. I’m ready to kick on and cement a place in the first team.”
