THE MANAGER'S CUP FINAL MESSAGE TO SUPPORTERS

THE MANAGER'S CUP FINAL MESSAGE TO SUPPORTERS

We are just a few hours from kick-off and I know you will all be feeling excited about today's Scottish Cup Final.

I had a drive around Perth yesterday to soak up the atmosphere and the way the city has been decorated and the various messages of support was very special to see.

It is one of the most important occasions in the history of our Football Club and we should all be ready to embrace and enjoy the day.

We have already won the Betfred League Cup and finished fifth in the SPFL Premiership to clinch European football.

To add the Scottish Cup to the list of achievements this season would be quite extraordinary.

It will take a monumental effort from everyone at the Football Club to win today but we will give it 100 percent.

I only wish that you, our supporters, were inside Hampden Park to share it all with us. The players feel the same. We are going to miss you today.

Unfortunately, due to Glasgow remaining in level 3 under the Covid-19 restrictions, you are not allowed to attend.

But, as has been the case all season, we have felt your presence. We have felt your support and it has spurred us on.

We know you will be gathering in various places in and around Perth to watch the game and I want you all to enjoy it. You all deserve it. Win or lose today, we'll have had a great season.

All that we ask is that you remember to follow the Scottish Government guidelines during this pandemic.

It's vital for the health and wellbeing of all, that fans should not gather in large groups and that everyone sticks to the regulations in place to prevent the spread of coronavirus. No one should congregate anywhere in large numbers.

Physical distancing must be maintained between members of different households if watching the game in a hospitality setting or at home with friends.

As the Chairman has said, when the time is right and the guidelines permit, we will celebrate together - players, management and supporters - in an organised manner to remember our extraordinary season.

That is a day I'm very much looking forward to.

For now, though, enjoy the Cup Final but please refrain from gathering at McDiarmid Park and also do not congregate in large numbers.

Please support the team as best you can, but do it in a way that is in line with the guidelines. Stay safe.
