Unacceptable Conduct Reminder

The Club wishes to take this opportunity to remind Saints fans that it expects all supporters to adhere to the terms of the SPFL’s Unacceptable Conduct policy and entry to any Scottish ground is subject to the conditions of that policy.

The Club enjoys great backing from well-behaved support both home and away and we ask all fans to continue to show the club up in a good light as the season gets underway and throughout the campaign Details of the policy are clearly displayed on posters inside each turnstile at McDiarmid Park and are printed within the matchday programme and there is also a public address system announcement before each home match.

If supporters attending matches witness conduct which they would deem to be 'unacceptable' they are encouraged to engage with the nearest steward or police officer and raise the issue. Failing that, the club can be contacted on 01738 459090 or email Supporter Liaison Officer beverley@perthsaints.co.uk

Thank you for your continued support.

UNACCEPTABLE CONDUCT

The Scottish Professional Football League has instigated an initiative on Unacceptable Conduct. This initiative makes it the responsibility of the Club at both home and away games regarding the conduct of their supporters.

St Johnstone Football Club will not tolerate unacceptable conduct at McDiarmid Park or at any other Stadium.

Unacceptable conduct is conduct that is violent or disorderly. Violent conduct includes any actual, attempted or threatened physical violence against any person or intentional damage to property. Disorderly conduct includes:

Conduct which stirs up or sustains, or is likely or is designed to stir up or sustain, hatred or ill will against or towards individuals or groups of people because of: Colour, race, nationality (including citizenship) or ethnic or national origin; Membership, or presumed membership, of a religious group or of a social-cultural group with perceived religious affiliation; Sexual orientation; Transgender identity; Disability; Using threatening, abusive or insulting words or conduct; Displaying writing or any other things which is threatening, abusive or insulting.

Entering the ground with any form of flare, pyrotechnic or smoke bomb is strictly prohibited.

All persons entering this ground are admitted subject to the condition that they may be required to submit to search to prevent prohibited articles being brought into the ground which might be used to cause injury or damage to other persons or property.

This list is not exhaustive and must be read in conjunction with the Stadium Regulations. Upon determining that a breach of, or failure to fulfil the rules has been established, a number of options are available to the SPFL, three of which are:

Give a reprimand to the Club; Impose a fine on the Club; Impose a deduction of points. Any person engaging in unacceptable conduct may be subject to any or a combination of the following: Removal from the stadium; Suspension from attending official matches involving St Johnstone Football Club; Indefinite ban from attending official matches involving St Johnstone Football Club; Report to the police and possible criminal proceedings.
