Our under-19s begin their league campaign on the new McDiarmid Park astro on Tuesday evening.
Danny Griffin’s Saints host Ayr United and supporters are more than welcome to attend. Kick-off will be 7pm.
The under-19s will be competing in the Club Academy Scotland Performance/Advanced Youth league during 2025/26.
Danny said: “We’re all set. The boys who have been coming in part-time have been working hard alongside our full-time players with a view towards this first league game.
“They have been working hard on their fitness and we have had a few games to build into this. Fingers crossed it goes well on Tuesday night. The players have all been champing at the bit.
“No matter who we play this year, it is always going to be a tough game. Players we’ll be coming up against will have had plenty of experience playing under-18 football last year.
“We have a new team but hopefully they can hit the ground running, show their sharpness and compete.”
As mentioned, supporters are welcome to attend on Tuesday night. Entry is free.
Danny added: “It would be great if the fans could come down. It’s always nice to see them there.
“As a young player coming through the ranks, you always appreciate when people give up their time to watch you.”
