Kennedy gets international call-up

Saints winger Matty Kennedy has today been included in the Northern Ireland squad for their upcoming EURO 2020 Qualifier with the Netherlands and their international friendly against Czech Republic.

Matty - who had previously been training with Michael O'Neill's squad - was born in Belfast but has previously represented Scotland at all levels from U15s through to U21s.

The call-up will see Matty - if selected to face the Dutch - test himself against the likes of Virgil van Dijk and Matthjis de Ligt on the international stage.

Madis Vihmann and Ali McCann have both also been called-up to international duty.

Ali will travel with the Northern Ireland U21 squad for their UEFA EURO U21 Qualifiers away to Denmark and Romania respectively, while Madis will meet up with the Estonian National Team for their EURO 2020 Qualifiers with Belarus & Germany - the same qualifying group as Matty and Northern Ireland.

The Club wishes all three players the very best while on international duty.
