St. Johnstone Football Club is delighted to announce that Liam Gordon has signed a contract extension.

The 24-year-old defender, who has been a regular in Callum Davidson's starting eleven this campaign, has penned a new deal that has secured his services until the end of the 2021/22 campaign.

The Perth-born player joined Saints in 2015 and this season wore the captain's armband at Celtic Park and scored his first goal for the club on Boxing Day at Aberdeen (pictured).

Commenting on the new deal, the St. Johnstone no. 6 said:

"I'm delighted to sign a contract extension and will now continue to focus on getting us up that league table where we belong.

"St. Johnstone is a club that everyone knows is very close to me and my family's heart. I'll continue to give my all for the badge on my chest."

The announcement follows the news two weeks ago that Liam Craig, Callum Booth and Chris Kane have all signed contract extensions through to the end of this season.
