It was a fantastic weekend for three of Saints' young loan players as BSC Glasgow secured an emphatic 5-0 victory at The Indodrill Stadium last Friday night.

Shaun Struthers - who only joined the Lowland League club earlier that day - made his debut from the bench while Ross Sinclair and Cammy Ballantyne played the full 90 minutes in the big win.

BSC Glasgow 5-0 Edinburgh University

All three of Saints' loan players played a significant part in BSC's stunning result at home to Edinburgh University last Friday night.

Cammy Ballantyne was described by the BSC Glasgow match report as being in "superb form" and having the Edinburgh Uni defence "in the palm of his hand." The young midfielder was involved in the opening two goals of the match, first by squaring the ball to Tom Orr for the opener before bursting into the box and winning his side a penalty shortly after.

Ross Sinclair had a quiet first half with little to do but after the break was called upon a number of times to make big saves.

Early in the second period he clawed the ball out of the top corner when it looked like a certain goal, and was described as "pulling off saves an Olympic gymnast would be proud of" throughout the second half.

Shaun Struthers joined the action to make his BSC debut on 58 minutes with the score at 4-0 and made an immediate impact as he linked up well with his new teammate Carlo Pignatiello to release Martin Grehan who scored the fifth.

Edinburgh Uni thought they'd grabbed a consolation goal but young 'keeper Ross Sinclair was having none of it and was determined to keep his clean sheet as he made a stunning triple save with 15 minutes remaining.

Next up for the loan trio is a big clash against top of the table Kelty Hearts at New Central Park.
