Saints U18s and academy sides suspended for two weeks

Friday 9th October 2020

Due to the latest Scottish Government restrictions to contain the spread of coronavirus over the next fortnight, St. Johnstone FC has taken the decision that - with immediate effect - no U18 training sessions or fixtures will take place during that period. This is a decision which will be reviewed in two weeks' time and is in place to protect the wellbeing of players and staff when travelling to training sessions and matches.

Alec Cleland, Co-manager of the Saints U18s, said: "While the boys are obviously disappointed because they have been training hard looking forward to the upcoming games, first and foremost we need to keep everyone safe and reduce the risk of transmission of the virus. It's 100% the right decision to make and the decision will be reviewed again in two weeks time to see where things are at."

In addition, no academy training sessions or fixtures will take place within the next two weeks either.
