VACANCY | Accountant / Bookkeeper

St. Johnstone Football Club is looking to recruit an experienced Accountant / Bookkeeper to join our Financial Department at McDiarmid Park.

The successful applicant would preferably come from a commercial background and desirably the successful applicant would be ACCA, ACA or CIMA qualified or working towards that end.

The Accountant / Bookkeeping role's responsibilities would include:

  • Cash Management
  • Bank Reconciliations & Lottery Reconciliations
  • Management information – KPI’s, forecasts, review of P&L
  • Production of Monthly Management Accounts using Quickbooks
  • Balance sheet control and reconciliation
  • Sales and Purchase invoice inputs
  • Annual Budgeting
  • Payroll returns using BrightPay
  • VAT returns
  • Commercial accounting support working with the Commercial Sales Team and Football Admin
  • Analysis and improvement of commercial and football activity processes and procedures
  • General ledger
  • Lead all stock takes
  • Overhead cost control
