St Johnstone recently announced the signing of Theo Bair for an undisclosed fee from Vancouver Whitecaps. The 22 year-old will bring power and a goalscoring threat at the top end of the pitch.
The young Canadian was born on 27th August 1999 has previously played for Vancouver Whitecaps and also spent a loan spell at Hamarkameratene in Norway. He has also has appearances at junior and senior level for Canada.
Theo began his youth career at Ottawa Royals leaving for Capital United FC then West Ottawa SC. From here he made his move to Vancouver Whitecaps in 2015. In the summer of 2018, Vancouver announced that Theo would be signed to a multi-year MLS homegrown pre-contract which would start in 2019. The Striker would make his senior debut coming off the bench in a 2-1 win against FC Dallas in 2019. He would score his first goal for the club against Portland Timbers, a sensational volley which he hit over his shoulder into the top corner.
In August 2021, Theo was loaned out to Norwegian side HamKam for the rest of 2021 where he would make 17 first team appearances scoring 4. His first goal would come only a few weeks after signing in a 2-0 win over Jery. The Canadian would help guide the club to promotion to 2022 Eliteserien,
At international level, Theo would make appearances for Canada at Under 20,21 and 23 group brackets. He was called up to the international first team in 2020 for friendly fixtures against Iceland and Barbados, scoring against the latter on his debut
Theo said in regards to his move to Saints:

I feel my game will be a good fit for Scottish football and I want to play my part in helping us win games of football.
