FIRST ANNIVERSARY OF HISTORIC SCOTTISH CUP WIN

FIRST ANNIVERSARY OF HISTORIC SCOTTISH CUP WIN

26th July 2016

Today marks 1 year since St. Johnstone lifted the Scottish Cup for the first time in the club's 130-year history in front of over 47,000 fans at Celtic Park.

Steven Anderson, in his testimonial year, headed Saints in front just before the half-time whistle after beating his marker to connect with David Wotherspoon's pinpoint cross from a corner.

With six minutes of normal time remaining, Steven MacLean latched onto a deflection from a Stevie May pass to beat Dundee United goalie Radoslaw Cierzniak to send the St. Johnstone fans behind the goal into euphoria.

To celebrate that momentous achievement, the club would like to invite all supporters to an event in the Muirton Suite (McDiarmid Park) to launch the Ed Hodge book 'Our Day In May' from 12pm-1.30pm. All current first-team players who were part of that cup-winning squad will be in attendance to sign copies of the book.

The Ticket Office will also be open from 10am-12pm for fans wishing to buy season tickets for next year. Each supporter buying a season ticket will receive a FREE copy of the book, otherwise you can purchase one for £9.99
