Cameron Ballantyne (BSC Glasgow) and Greg Hurst (Berwick Rangers) featured at the weekend for their respective loan clubs but neither player was on the winning side as they both exited the William Hill Scottish Cup to League One opposition.

Cameron Ballantyne (BSC Glasgow)

BSC made history as they played their first ever Scottish Cup Third Round match.

They took on Forfar Athletic - managed by former Saints defender Jim Weir - with Ballantyne starting the match for the Lowland League side.

He was involved in the best chance BSC had in the first half of the match but was subsituted shortly after the break suffering from a knock.

BSC managed to hold their opponents until late in the game when John Baird opened the scoring for Forfar with just 15 minutes remaining.

The Loons added a second shortly after to confine BSC Glasgow to a 2-0 defeat putting an end to their cup run.

Next up for BSC is a Lowland League clash at home to Edinburgh University on Saturday.

Greg Hurst (Berwick Rangers)

Greg Hurst came on as a second half subsitute for Berwick Rangers during their William Hill Scottish Cup Third Round clash with East Fife but was unable to help as his side lost out 2-1 against the League One outfit.

Hurst entered the action with just over ten minutes remaining as Berwick searched for an equaliser but they couldn't find the leveller and the defeat sees the Borders club exit the competition.

Next up for Hurst and Berwick Rangers is a Ladbrokes League Two clash away to Clyde on Saturday.
