St Johnstone Football Club is seeking an energetic, enthusiastic, and confident individual to take on the role of Brogan, the club’s much-loved mascot, as the current Brogan hangs up his paws after 11 seasons.
This isn’t just about wearing a costume. As Brogan, you’ll be at the heart of the matchday experience, creating unforgettable memories for supporters, entertaining young Saints fans, and helping to build an electric atmosphere around McDiarmid Park.
Whether you’re dancing in front of thousands, posing for selfies, leading mascot races or surprising supporters around the stadium, you’ll be the face – and paws – of fun at St Johnstone FC.
What you’ll be doing
- Bringing Brogan to life on matchdays and at club events.
- Meeting and greeting supporters of all ages around McDiarmid Park.
- Creating memorable experiences for young fans and visiting mascots.
- Taking part in pre-match entertainment and half-time activities.
- Appearing in social media content, videos and community initiatives.
- Supporting the club’s family-friendly atmosphere and fan engagement activities.
- Representing St Johnstone FC in a positive, professional and enthusiastic manner at all times.
What we’re looking for
- A confident, outgoing personality.
- Comfortable performing in front of large crowds.
- High levels of energy and enthusiasm.
- Reliable and punctual.
- Ability to interact positively with children, families and supporters.
- A good sense of humour and willingness to have fun.
- Physically fit enough to wear a mascot costume and remain active throughout matchdays.
Bonus points if you have
- Experience in performance, drama, dance, sport or entertainment.
- Experience working with children or community groups.
- A passion for football and St Johnstone FC.
What you’ll get from the role
- The opportunity to become one of the most recognisable characters in Scottish football.
- Matchday access and behind-the-scenes experiences.
- The chance to make a genuine impact on the supporter experience.
- Flexible hours around home fixtures and club events.
- Plenty of photo opportunities, high-fives and applause.
