Josh McPake has been named the William Hill Scottish Championship Player of the Season.
Everyone at McDiarmid Park congratulates Josh on his well-deserved award and on his impressive season that helped us gain promotion back to the top-flight.
Speaking after picking up his award, Josh said: “Winning both the top goalscorer award and Player of the Season is a huge honour for me, and I’m incredibly proud to receive these awards.
“It’s been an amazing season for me personally, but more importantly for the team as a whole. From the first game, the belief in the dressing room was there that we could achieve something special, and to deliver promotion back to the Scottish Premiership makes it even more rewarding.
“A lot of credit has to go to my teammates, the gaffer and all the staff, because individual awards like this are only possible when you’re part of a successful team environment. Everyone has pushed each other every day and that’s been a massive reason behind what we’ve achieved this season.”
On the support of the fans, Josh added: “I also want to say a huge thank you to the fans. Their support was incredible all year, both home and away, and they’ve played a massive part in helping us get over the line. To bring this club back to the Premiership where it belongs is something we’re all proud of, and hopefully we’ve given the supporters plenty of special memories this season.”
