We are delighted to announce that young goalkeeper Kyle Thomson has signed a one-year contract extension.

The 19-year-old, from Perth, is now with the Saints until the summer of 2027.

Kyle is looking forward to getting back to McDiarmid Park after a short break to continue the hard work.

He said: “This is the club I grew up watching and the club just down the road from my house. Of course, that makes all this even more special for me.

“I’ve been involved in really good goalkeeping groups here and, because of that, you find yourself getting better each week.

“Since I’ve been at the club, all of the older goalkeepers have helped me out. That always makes it an enjoyable place to be.

“It’s an exciting club to be part of and everyone is looking forward to being back up in the Premiership.”

Kyle was heavily involved in our title-winning celebrations and created memories to last a lifetime.

He said: “I had family on the pitch at full-time after the Raith Rovers game. My little brother comes to all the games with my dad.

“You don’t get to experience the celebrations of winning a league very often. You need to try and take it all in. It was very enjoyable and makes you look forward to next season even more.”

He added: “We have pre-season programmes at the moment with our gym-work and runs. It’s important to enjoy your time off, but also remain sharp right through the break.”
