Our U19s picked up three league points on Tuesday evening thanks to a deserved 5-1 victory against Kelty Hearts at McDiarmid Park.
The Saints took the lead early doors when captain Jack Robertson adjusted impressively to flick a looping header from a corner kick into the far corner from the centre of the box.
It was a lead that was short-lived, however, when Kelty Hearts took advantage of a loose ball in the box to guide over the line from close range.
Saints continued to press forward in search of the second and were given the perfect opportunity as the half hour mark approached from the penalty spot.
McAdam picked himself up and made no mistake with a low finish beyond the goalkeeper.

Soon after, Lucas Louden broke clear but this time the visiting number one stood tall to pull off a smart one-on-one stop.
Louden was not to be denied after the break when he was positioned nicely to turn home a McAdam’s cut-back from the right flank.

Kelty, to their credit, did not down tools and had a couple of big chances to reduce the deficit. But the final result was put beyond doubt as the game reached its latter stages.
Substitute Jack McArthur showed his clinical edge with two finishes from inside the area to earn a comfortable three points.

Saints: Thomson (Mustard), Brookfield (Gray), Crawford, Russell, Murray, Ashworth, McAdam, Robertson, Louden (McArthur), Martin (Poli), Trialist. Subs not used: Voy, Shaeb.
