It was a special evening on Saturday as our annual Player of the Year awards was held at Perth Concert Hall.
Both the men’s team and the women’s team joined together alongside club officials, staff, coaches and, of course, our supporters to shine the spotlight on the 2025/26 season.
Held at the city centre venue for the first time, the event was kindly sponsored by Aberdein Considine and Saints in the Community.
CEO Francis Smith provided the official welcome and then owner Adam Webb presented our oldest season ticket holder, Jimmy Thomson, with a framed share certificate. It was Jimmy’s 98th birthday on Saturday.
Smiling faces throughout the room were soon up on their feet for a game of heads and tails – led by men’s assistant manager Jordi Aluja – before everyone was treated to a superb two-course meal from Mark Bulle’s catering team.
Men’s captain Jason Holt was presented with a special jersey to mark his 500th appearance in professional football before supporters’ clubs and club awards were then presented across a range of categories.
There was a video of lovely messages from St Johnstone WFC players for goalkeeper Bobby Cochran, who plans to hang up the gloves at the end of the current campaign.
Head coaches Simo Valakari and Josh Henderson were soon on the mic to chat through their respective seasons, with director Alastair Dewar providing the vote of thanks.
That paved the way for local Perth band and Saints fans The Crom to take to the stage and perform in front to the crowd for the remainder of the night.
A huge thank you to our sponsors, Perth Concert Hall, Mark Bulle’s catering team, MC Liam Doris and every single supporter who helped make it such a special occasion.
