TEAM NEWS

Speaking after our match at Cove, Simo Valakari said:

“Jamie Gullan has been feeling a little fluish all week. So it was better to rest him.

“Cheick Diabate felt a little something so again important to rest up. Same with Matty Todd.

“Captain Holty got a big knock on Wednesday, but all those players should be more or less good for Tuesday. So it is good news.

“Morgan Boyes has been training with the team and Louis Lloyd has been running again. Unax is progressing.”

PRESS CALL

Simo Valakari

“The pre-season is over and now we play for trophies. I really like what we have been doing.

“The continuity and identity of our team is there. The boys have been showing their personality and professionalism.

“We are still far from where we want to go but it is important we keep on improving.

“Week by week, game by game we will always look to improve and then we will enjoy.”

Ruari Paton

“I’m feeling good and the body is feeling good. The boys have been spot on. The mentality has been there.

“We have had hard games but we are building nicely now for the competitive action to begin.

“I have loved every minute of pre-season so far and we now need to carry that momentum into these competitive games.”

The West Lothian-based outfit have already added a number of players to their squad for the new campaign.
