Ruari Paton has been named in the SPFL Team of the Week following his two goals against Airdrieonians at the weekend.
Our frontman netted an impressive free-kick from distance to open the scoring before grabbing his second, and Saints’ third, with a composed finish inside the penalty box.
Speaking after the game, Ruari said: “I thought we were excellent in the first half. We started brilliantly and it set the precedent for the game.
“We were relentless after that. There have been a few games where we didn’t start as well.
“It’s the perfect time to be playing like this. I thought we were really strong.”
Meanwhile, Saints defender Scott Bright was also named in the SPFL Team of the Week.
Our full-back is currently on loan at Forfar. Jim Weir’s side picked up a 1-0 victory over league leaders East Kilbride at the weekend.
