We are delighted to confirm that Sam Stanton has signed a contract extension until the summer of 2028.
The midfielder played a key role as the Saints lifted the 2025/26 Scottish Championship title – and is now looking forward to our Scottish Premiership return.
So far, Stanton has made 31 appearances for the club.
On his new contract, he said: “I am absolutely delighted. I have had such a great time since I’ve been here. For the club to sign me on again is brilliant.
“Last season was amazing. To be top of the table from day one is special and it is credit to everyone involved. It was great.
“I am so excited to test myself in the Scottish Premiership. We did really well last season but now it is about continuing that on and taking it into the Premiership.
“Personally I was delighted with my form at the end of the season and I will be looking to carry that on too.”
Looking ahead to next season, Sam added: “The club is a great place to be at the moment. I’ll enjoy some nice time off with my family then I will come back and be ready to go in pre-season.
“The support have been amazing with me and my whole family. I am looking forward to seeing everyone again at McDiarmid Park.”
