St Johnstone WFC continue their pre-season preparations when they face Elgin City at the McDiarmid Park astroturf on Sunday.
Kick-off is 3pm and admission is FREE so come on down and support the Saints as we get ready for another season in SWPL2.
The SPWPL2 will get underway on Sunday, August 16, with Josh Henderson’s Saints set to open up against Livingston at McDiarmid Park.
Speaking ahead of this weekend’s game, manager Josh said: “Pre-season has been good. The first couple of weeks we have been putting in a lot of hard work and we came back a little earlier just with the cup games starting earlier this season.
“The girls have done really well. They have put in the work and the effort and we are looking forward to the games getting underway.
“We did well to get the three points on the last day of the campaign last season. We didn’t want our safety to be going down to the last day and that gives us a little more determination to ensure we aren’t in that position this coming season.
“We want to push ourselves further up that table, we want to push those above us and as I say, we can’t wait for the competitive action to begin.
“We have a good few friendlies before we start against Livingston in the cup on July 26. We want to be ready for these games, be prepared and make sure we make the most of them all.”
