Taylor Steven played the full match as Scotland under-21s defeated Azerbaijan at Rugby Park on Wednesday evening.
The young Scots ran out 5-2 winners in their latest UEFA U21 Championship qualifier, with Taylor providing an assist for the second goal.
He operated at left wing-back and put in an assured performance throughout the evening.
Scotland were 3-1 ahead at the break thanks to goals from Barney Stewart (2) and James Wilson before Tyler Fletcher and Bobby Wales added more in the second half.
Taylor and his team-mates now travel to face Bulgaria on Tuesday, October 6. They sit third in Group B behind Portugal and Czechia.
Joel Cotterill, meanwhile, was in action for Wales under-21s on Tuesday evening.
Our midfielder came off the bench in the 65th minute as Wales attempted to recover from being a goal and a man down against Belgium.
Norman Bassette had opened the scoring for the Belgian hosts in Westerlo with just seven minutes on the clock.
Wales were then reduced to 10 men when defender Dan Cox saw red after picking up two quick-fire bookings before the break.
Despite being a number short, Cotterill and his team-mates pushed hard in the latter stages of the game but were unable to find a leveller.
They are next in action on Tuesday, October 6 when they face Austria at The Oval in Caernarfon.
