We are delighted to confirm the signing of Zach Mitchell on a season-long loan from Charlton Athletic.
Zach will be no stranger to Saints fans following his loan stint at McDiarmid Park back during the 2024/25 season.
The 21-year-old, who last season spent time on loan at Hibernian in the William Hill Premiership, is now excited to once again be playing his football in Perth.
After signing his loan deal, Zach said: “I am extremely excited. I have been at the club before, and I thoroughly enjoyed my time when I was here.
“To be honest, I fell in love with the place – and the fans as well. Their support was always amazing.
“I also enjoyed how the gaffer works and that was a big part in me coming back to Perth. I really enjoy his style and philosophy and, after speaking to him, I know we can be competitive this year and push on.”
Zach, who will wear the number five jersey, trained with his team-mates for the first time on Monday as preparations continue for the new campaign.
He added: “I could always see how much the club meant to the fans here. After having a great season last year and gaining promotion back to the Premiership, it is nice coming into a club that is on the way up again.
“I was gutted last time to not be able to see the season out due to injury, so I almost feel I have unfinished business here. I want to hit the ground running.
“I know my body and my game better. I am really positive and optimistic about the season ahead.”
