Collin Samuel eases the tension on frustrating afternoon

A 70th minute goal from substitute Collin Samuel has given Saints a 1-0 win over Livingston at McDiarmid Park this afternoon, extending the unbeaten run to 18 league games and increasing the lead at the top of the table to seven points.

His superb finish on the run was one of the few bright spots on a day where Saints struggled to make an impression on the visitors rearguard.

Indeed Livvy had been the better side in the first half and twice rattled the woodwork of Alan Main's goal.

There was, however, a blow for Saints with Andy Jackson being stretchered from the field in obvious distress after going down on the turf with nobody around him.
