St. Johnstone were knocked out of Europe at the first hurdle, despite defeating their Armenian opponents 2-1 in Perth tonight.
Narek Gyozalyan was the Alashkert player who grabbed the crucial away goal, sandwiched between goals by Michael O'Halloran and Brad McKay for the Saintees.
