Manager's thoughts on Falkirk draw

Derek McInnes described last night’s 0-0 draw at Falkirk as “Fiercely contested” and expressed disappointment that his side’s second half showing had not brought all three points.

“We were a bit frustrated in the first half and I think it showed. We took a gamble on Murray (Davidson) who had been feeling unwell but wanted to see how he felt after the warm-up because he wanted to play but it was clear early on that he was struggling.”

The Manager was impressed with the contribution of Murray’s replacement Josh Falkingham who he felt brought the attitude and effort he has shown in training and in bounce games into the first team arena and together with the half-time introduction of Paul Sheerin brought a better balance to the team.

“There was not a lot in it and I felt we did enough in the second half to win it but I can’t fault the players’ approach which was spot on.”
