SAMMY SIGNS ON FOR NEXT SEASON!

26th July 2016

One year deal for striker

The season may only have ended two days ago but Saints Manager Derek McInnes is keen to quickly make inroads into his squad remoulding plans for next season and to that end has this afternoon moved to extend the stay of Collin Samuel.

The striker has signed a one year deal for next season and manager McInnes is pleased to have tied the Trinidad man to the club for a third season.

“I’m delighted we have managed to get Sammy sorted out so quickly. He and I have been disappointed and frustrated by the injury problems he has had but we are confident those are behind him now – in many ways the season has come to an end just at the wrong time for him.

“However, we know what he is capable of and saw glimpses of it in the season just ended – a fully fit Sammy has the pace and power and the ability to score goals at SPL level.”

Collin scored eight goals in the campaign just ended – all bar one of them in the SPL - and has netted in fifteen in total for the club.
