KEVIN READY FOR ALBUM LAUNCH

KEVIN READY FOR ALBUM LAUNCH

26th July 2016

Saints defender's album available from tomorrow

Tomorrow sees the launch of a product which has been much-anticipated by Saints fans – but it’s nothing to do with match days at McDiarmid Park!

Defender Kevin Rutkiewicz is well known for his talent as a guitarist and over the past couple of years he has played a number of gigs in and around Perth. However, in the past year or so he has been concentrating on getting his songs recorded with a view to them becoming available to the public.

That hard work done, Kevin tomorrow launches his first album, ‘Handwritten’, which will be available to download via ITunes.

It’s been a labour of love for the long-serving player and he admits that last season’s enforced injury lay-off gave him plenty of time to work on the project.

Kevin told the Saints Official Website, “It’s been a long time coming but with a wee bit of hard work and loads of help I have managed to finish the album.

It is entitled ‘Handwritten’ and there are eleven tracks on the album covering quite personal stuff with stories coming from both my footballing life and personal life.

“Gerard McCafferty was the man who took it from just me and my guitar and transformed it into a real piece of music. He also called on the help of Matthew MacDonald and Bernie Martin who pitched into with great pieces of their own. Alex Hamilton got the ball rolling by introducing me to Gerard and he is the man who is going to make me famous - that's his words by the way!

“Joking apart, he has some fantastic contacts in the music world and I am delighted he has decided to help me promote the album. I am extremely happy with the way it has turned out and I’m looking forward to hearing reviews - both good and bad!”
