SPANISH TEST COMPLETES PREPARATIONS

The final match of the pre-season preparations takes place tomorrow when we welcome Spanish side Real Valladolid to McDiarmid Park (kick off 3pm).

This morning’s planned annual team photocall had to be cancelled due to heavy rain but training took part as normal.

Manager Derek McInnes says of tomorrow’s match: “I’m looking for a good performance from this game. Physically, we are in good shape and I would just like to get a satisfactory quality of performance.

“It won’t be easy – Real are a quality side and they will prove a different type of opposition from what we can expect in the SPL. However, whatever the result, it won’t affect how we go into the Hearts game.”

Dave Mackay misses out on the game with the back injury picked up in Northern Ireland and Graham Gartland is also out. Steven Milne will have a fitness test before the game.

Admission tomorrow is £10 for adults and £5 for over 65s and Under 18s. Season tickets ARE valid. The East and West Stands are open.
