First Team
Preview | Celtic (A)
6th December 2020
SUNDAY 6TH DECEMBER 2020
Today, as we take to the road once again, to travel through to Glasgow for a 3PM kick off against Celtic in the Premier League.
The script for today’s match paints an intriguing picture, Saints come into today’s match as the team in form after a number of fantastic performances. Celtic however, are the team out of form after being beaten twice in the space of a week.
Saints are flying at the moment after several key performances, especially the Michael O’Halloran inspired performance against Motherwell in the last-16 of the Betfred Cup. We then, went on to be drawn against Dunfermline which poses a tricky but exciting challenge in our bid for Cup glory.
HEAD-TO-HEAD
Saints are looking fearless ahead of today’s game as they aim to make Club history with an 11-game unbeaten record, what a game to go and try and do it!
Celtic come into today’s match struggling, after losing their last 3 games, most recently being dumped out of the Betfred Cup by Ross County and beaten away from home by AC Milan after going 2-0 up early on.
Earlier on in the season these two sides faced off at McDiarmid Park, where Saints were incredibly unlucky not to gain at least a point from the game. After a strong team performance from Saints, creating good chances, we were unfortunate to lose out to 2 incredibly late goals from Leigh Griffiths and Patryk Klimala in the 90th & 93rd minute of the game.
