The first Tayside derby of the season takes place at McDiarmid Park later today.
Saints will be looking to continue their positive momentum from the midweek fixture against Austrians LASK, where Callum Davidson’s men impressed in a 1-1 draw, into the clash against Dundee United.
St Johnstone have only managed to pick up two points in the league, drawing against both Ross County and Motherwell.
Premier League newcomer Tam Courts failed to impress in the New Firm bout at the beginning of the season but a shock result against Rangers provided the Arabs with some hope. A Jamie Robson goal halted the reigning champions’ 41-game unbeaten run.
Today’s fixture should be an interesting one. The Saints’ manager looks to continue his already astounding legacy whilst the United boss is just at the beginning of his career in top-flight senior football.

Saints fans in the Ormond today should use gates 20 & 21 and take up seats in the red section (section M) of the Ormond Stand.
Section K (blue seats) will remain sterile as it’s to be used for segregation.
