Scott Boyd to leave his role as Head of Football Operations

THE Football Club can today announce Scott Boyd will be leaving his role as Head of Football Operations.

Scott has been at Saints since March, 2021 and has been a valued member of staff.

Scott is pursuing other opportunities and goes with the best wishes of everyone at McDiarmid Park.

Scott said: "I've thoroughly enjoyed my time at St Johnstone and had the privilege of working with many great people.

"It was wonderful to be here when we had the double Cup success last year and also played in European football.

"But I've been given a chance to pursue something different and it's a challenge I'm looking forward to.

"I'd like to wish the Chairman, the Board and everyone else at the Football Club all the very best going forward."

Ian Flaherty, Head of Operations, said: "Everyone at St Johnstone would like to thank Scott for his hard work and service. We wish him well.

"The process is underway to fill this important role at the Football Club and we are endeavouring to find the best possible candidate.

"Scott will stay with us until we appoint a replacement. I'm working very hard on this. This will allow as smooth a transition as possible."

Ian will continue to work tirelessly behind the scenes to help Callum Davidson in the final period of the transfer window.

It's part of the role he was given by the Chairman, Steve Brown, when he was brought to the Football club five months ago.

Ian said: "As we all know, the Chairman decided to step away from day-to-day involvement at the Football Club towards the end of last season.

"He gave me scope to get on with things and I'm working hard every day to repay the trust he showed in me.

"It's a wide-ranging remit and it's all about us being a team, on and off the park.

"For example, as we approach the end of the transfer window, we are all doing our best to enhance the football squad.

"This is a non-stop process and I'm working closely with Callum on this.

"There is great unity at St Johnstone and we all give 100 percent to make sure we give our supporters a Football Club they can continue to be proud of."
