Grant Scott Announced As St Johnstone Women’s Head Coach

St Johnstone is delighted to announce Grant Scott as St Johnstone Women’s team head coach.

Grant is regarded as one of the most successful coaches in Scottish women’s football over the last few years, guiding Hibernian to the double in 2018 and 2019. He would also take the Edinburgh side to the knock-out stages of the 2019 Women’s Champions League.

Last season Grant took over from Scott Booth at Glasgow City on an interim basis.

The new head coach said: “I’m really excited! Like any new role, it’s new, different and there is a lot of opportunities to do new things with the team.

“The experience I have had at the high end of the game in Scotland will hopefully be imparted onto the players. I’m looking to bring that stability and belief to the club, whilst continuing the good work that’s already been done by Murdo Steven.

“I’m really looking forward to working with Murdo, he will be a key part in what we are trying to achieve. Having someone who knows the players as well as he does will be crucial for my coaching staff.

“We need to be challenging at the top end of the division in the near future, then we can focus on pushing for promotion.”

Welcome, Grant!
