RESERVE LEAGUE CUP STARTS TONIGHT

26th July 2016

There will be some familiar faces in the reserve team tonight

It will be an experienced reserve side that takes to the field at McDiarmid Park tonight as the Reserve League Cup competition gets underway.

Euan McLean, Alan Morgan, Andy Jackson, Peter MacDonald (pictured), Kevin Moon, Nick McKoy, Steven Milne and Derek Holmes will be joined by a handful of the club’s younger players for the match against Cowdenbeath.

The game kicks off in the main stadium at 7.30pm, season tickets are valid and cash admission is £3 for adults and £1 concessions.

Assistant Manager Tony Docherty spoke this morning of his and Derek McInnes’s satisfaction at the 2-1 win over Ross County of Saturday.

“It was a good overall team performance. We worked hard as a team to restrict what Ross County could achieve. We now have to make sure that it was not a one-off and today we will begin the preparations for another tough away game in Dumfries.”

Tony was pleased to see Collin Samuel bag a couple of goals and noted “Sammy has pace and power and we have to give him the opportunity to use it. He took both his goals well and that will hopefully now give him a platform to build on.”
