FURTHER CHANGES TO ST JOHNSTONE FC BOARD

26th July 2016

Further changes have taken place in the make up of the St Johnstone FC Board of Directors.

Following on from the recent departure of Steve Park, the club are delighted to announce the appointment of local solicitor Charlie Fraser to the Board.

A life-long Saints fan, Charlie has been heavily involved in the St Johnstone FC Business Club in recent years, including a spell as Chairman and the 49 year old is looking forward to helping the football club.

“I’m delighted and honoured to be invited to join the board of a club which has the reputation as being one of the best run clubs in Scotland and I look forward to contributing to ensure that that remains the case.

“These are tough times but I will do all I can to help take the club forward on and off the park.”

Chairman Geoff Brown says of the appointment: “We have lost Stewart Duff and Steve Park from the Board in recent times and so it was important that it was strengthened again. Charlie is a supporter of the club, which I believe is very important, and I have known him for many years. He is well respected in the Perth business community, we’re delighted he has come on board and I am sure he will provide us with fresh ideas.”

In another move, Abby Ramsay is stepping down from the main board but will continue his involvement with the club as an associate director. Abby recently took early retirement from his job in the banking industry but will continue his key roles on match days and Geoff Brown says: “Abby has been involved with the club for nearly 25 years and we are delighted that he is remaining with us.”
