JACKSON MISSES VISIT OF THISTLE

JACKSON MISSES VISIT OF THISTLE

26th July 2016

Team news ahead of Saturday's game against Partick

Partick Thistle are the visitors to McDiarmid Park tomorrow (3pm) and the Glasgow side will no doubt provide another tough test and be determined to bring our recent run of good results to an end.

However, given a points haul of 13 from 15, the Saints players can go into the game with confidence and look to edge ever closer to the top of the league.

Saints will have to do without the services of Andy Jackson whose ankle knock picked up in Tuesday’s bounce game against Forfar Athletic has failed to respond to treatment sufficiently well for him to be considered.

However, Kevin Moon has trained and will be available but there will be no place for Kevin James or Jody Morris who are both continuing to train but manager Derek McInnes is determined not to rush them back too quickly. Next week’s Reserve League Cup game in Dingwall looks like the next step in the progression of those pair.

Supporters are reminded that there will be a one minute silence immediately prior to kick-off tomorrow in memory of former player Charlie McFadyen – the club’s second top all-time appearance maker - who died last week.
