LOAN DEALS ARRANGED

Saints have been involved in two loan deal arrangements

Saints have been involved in two player loan deals today with one player heading out and another likely to come in.

Striker Steven Doris has joined second division Arbroath on loan for a month with a view to getting him some match action under his belt. This move follows on from the Perth-born player’s spell on loan with Montrose last season and earlier in this campaign.

Meanwhile, Derek McInnes looks to have filled his requirement for short term cover for injured back-up goalkeeper Euan McLean by signing Greg Kelly on loan from Montrose and although the paperwork is still to be tied up, no problems are anticipated and Greg (pictured) is likely to be in the squad for Saturday’s game against Ross County.

McInnes told the Saints official Website, “Greg is well known to me and the lads as he has been training with us regularly since pre-season. He is well liked by the boys and highly regarded by Alan Main and we will take him on loan for three months to give us a bit of stability – that way I don’t have to put pressure on Euan to rush his recovery from his broken finger.”
