SAINTS DEFEATED IN INVERNESS

Saints lost 4-2 to Inverness Caledonian Thistle this afternoon in the penultimate pre-season friendly.

The SPL side scored in 18 and 23 minutes to earn a 2-0 half-time lead and they were rarely stretched in that opening 45 minutes.

However, Saints offered more threat after the break and Steven Milne (pictured) provided two clinical finishes on the hour mark and in 76 minutes but sandwiched between those goals came another Caley strike and the home side scored with virtually the last kick of the game to ensure the win.
