Dimitar Mitov called up to Bulgaria squad

Goalkeeper Dimitar Mitov has again been called into the Bulgarian national squad for upcoming friendlies against Romania and Slovenia.

Mitov will join the national team for matches with Romania in Bucharest on June 4 and then Slovenia in Ljubljana on June 8.

While again honoured to have earned selection, our number one is fully focused on Wednesday evening’s Scottish Premiership fixture against Ross County.

“I’ve said before, it is always an honour and was always a dream of mine to represent my country,” Mitov explained.

“I have now been selected for every single camp since I’ve been at the football club. It shows that the hard work pays off and that I’m playing well at club level.”

He continued: “We need to finish the season as strongly as possible. We know what the game on Wednesday night means to the football club.

“It was obviously disappointing that we lost the game against Livingston, but we can take a lot of positives from it. We created more than enough chances to win the game and that can give the boys a lift.

“If we create even half of those chances on Wednesday, we know we can score a few goals.”
