Junior Saints: Special matchday experience

We were delighted to welcome seven of our Junior Saints members for a very special matchday experience at the recent fixture against Dundee.

The young Saintees were treated to a tour of the stadium which incorporated a visit to various different departments around the club.

Included in the experience – which was won via the Junior Saints score predictor competition – was an insight into the first team dressing room and also a look at the boot room.

The special guests played a starring role in pitch preparation, line painting, setting up the goals and nets as well as placing the corner flags.

There was a trip up to the TV gantry, press box and media suite to see where the players and manager conduct their pre and post-match interviews.

Continuing the experience, the enthusiastic kids were taken through matchday safety and security protocols and were allowed a shot on the tannoy system where ‘Saints are the best’ was the popular message echoing around the stadium.

They were provided with a ‘Junior Saints Matchday Set-up Squad’ accreditation lanyard, a kiosk snack box voucher and match programme.

Our supporters’ liaison officer, Beverley Mayer, said: “It was great to be able to include some of our Junior Saints in our matchday preparations on Saturday.

“They were all eager to get involved and proudly played their part in getting the stadium ready for kick-off. We are delighted to be able to provide matchday experience memories like this for our younger supporters.”

She added: “And a big thank you to our match-day staff who helped make it all happen.”
