Ali Crawford initially joined the club at the end of the Summer 2021 transfer window on a six month loan deal from Bolton Wanderers.

He started his youth career with Hearts and was then picked up by Hamilton, where he would excel. During his time with Accies, Ali would help the club gain promotion back to the top flight and be voted into the Championship team of the year. Crawford continued his impressive displays in the Premiership which led him being touted for a Scotland call-up in 2016.

His time at New Douglas Park would come to an end in 2018 when he would cross the border to join Doncaster Rovers. After appearing sporadically throughout his first season at the Reds, Crawford terminated his contract and joined League One Rivals Bolton Wanderers.

The Hamilton academy graduate spent the last half of the 2020/21 season on loan to Tranmere Rovers before joining Saints on a six month loan deal at the end of the summer transfer window in 2021.
